Sorting fun with pack of playing cards

There is lots of scope for counting and sorting fun with ordinary pack of playing cards.
Child can:
– divide pack in a pile of red and a pile of black cards
– sort the cards into suits
– put cards into number sets (all threes, all fives etc)
– make families with the Jack, Queen and King of each suit
